This page explains which cookies Buildory places. Buildory currently uses only first-party cookies for security, requested preferences and limited public project visit statistics. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
Why there is no consent banner
The cookies below are essential or functional, or are used for limited first-party analytics with little impact on privacy. Buildory therefore does not ask you to accept advertising or tracking cookies. If we add optional analytics, advertising or tracking technology later, it will remain disabled until you make a clear choice.
Cookies used by Buildory
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
| _buildory_session | Keeps your session secure, supports signing in and protects forms against misuse. | Until the browser session ends | Essential |
| remember_user_token | Keeps you signed in only when you select ‘Remember me’. | Up to 2 weeks | Functional |
| theme_preference | Remembers your chosen light or dark appearance. | 1 year | Functional |
| buildory_public_visitor_id | Uses a signed random identifier to count visits to public projects without using your name or email address. It is not shared with advertising networks. | 30 days after the most recent anonymous public project visit | Limited analytics |
Registered visitors
When you are signed in, eligible visits to public projects outside workspaces you manage are counted using your internal Buildory user ID. Visits to projects you manage are excluded. Buildory does not create the anonymous public visitor cookie for signed-in visits and removes an existing anonymous visitor cookie when encountered.
Managing cookies
You can remove cookies in your browser settings. Removing the session or remember-me cookie signs you out. Removing the theme cookie resets the appearance. Removing the anonymous visitor cookie means a later anonymous visit may be counted as a new visitor.
Changes
We update this page if the cookies or their purposes change. Optional tracking technology will not be enabled without an appropriate choice where consent is required.
